Black Hole of status credits

Hello, first time poster.
Recently I was surprised at 984 SC to see my status upgraded to Platinum on the website about July 28, wish I'd taken a screen shot, followed by a welcome email on aug 2. Account says review on Aug 1.
Immediately before Aug 1 my partner flew and pooled 30 SCs to me, plus I got 3 SCs from shopping.
These 33 points have not been credited to my Platinum status.
Any chance I can persuade VFF to give them to me, or , in a year or so, to recognise them if I"m close to Platinum again?

I've been out of the game for a while but with the double status offer and some sale fares I'm hoping to get back to WP by Mar next year... but I'm a bit concerned about status credits disappearing into the dreaded black hole (and if I'll get any benefits mid trip)

Currently at 40 SCs and 1 sector here's what I have planned:

MEL-ADE Getaway 7 SCs (just to get my sectors up to 2 return on points)

[all these with my partner who is pooling to me]
MEL-SYD-DPR {Saver Biz} = 680 SCs (double bonus)
2.5 weeks of vacation so hopefully I'll be Gold for return journey and the return SCs don't go missing?
DPR-BNE-MEL {Getaway} = 160 SCs (double)

Giving me hopefully a total of 887

Then early next year on Singapore Air
MEL-SIN-HND = 120 SCs (which should get me WP yea?)
9 days later
HND-SIN-MEL - 120 SCs (hopefully these don't go to the black hole)

Meaning I'll be WP with 680 SCs need to requal - is that right?
