from news.com.au:

THE strangest holiday complaints ever made by British tourists have been revealed, with hilarious results.

Thomas Cook and the Association of British Travel Agents compiled a list of the bizarre complaints, including one where a holidaymaker said he felt inadequate after seeing an aroused elephant, which in turn ruined his honeymoon.

It seems many British travellers aren’t used to beaches, with a tourist complaining that “the beach was too sandy” and another upset when they discovered fish swimming in the sea.

This really should have been posted in the humour thread. This story has been around for quite a while in some of the joke forums (fora) and it could only be News Limited who picked it up and ran it as a story. I'm not saying that some or all of the comments aren't real - they're just not new.

I lost too many brain cells reading that article and realising its stupidity.

Is there someone I can sue for compensation and psychological damages due to stupidification?

Sounds a bit like the UK version of the Darwin awards, only for travellers!

So the world has us Australians underpinned for being racist and culturally insensitive.

Now we have evidence to underpin that the British travellers are stupid.

To be completely fair, I'd like to see the same kind of study performed on Australians and US travellers.
