They are my go-tos, google being first.I like to use Google flights and Skyscanner
THAT would be very handy! One of the features on Google flights I only recently discovered is the ability to choose multiple cities for origin, destination and/or transits
Eg you can search flights from all of SYD MEL and BNE
Part of the Booking Holdings conglomerateKayak is also worth a look.
AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements
Also available is the ITA - for most is it the beta test version of Google flights. (ITA was bought out by Google maybe a decade ago)One of the features on Google flights I only recently discovered is the ability to choose multiple cities for origin, destination and/or transits

After having been caught by third parties several times, sure - use the mentioned sources to research your flight requirements but book directly with the airline. Third party bookings are just that.
No recourse if something goes off the rails.
I use Skyscanner, but then you have to look at the sites it finds the cheap fares on and decide how shonky they are. Where possible I'll find the itinerary on Skyscanner then try to book it direct with the airline. Momondo and Ebookers are not bad.Just wondering what websites people use these days to get a comparison of airfares from the gamut of international airlines to a destination? Usually I'm booking on the QF website but this time I need to look at a wide range of options.
@Melburnian1 For the resulting airfare that you purchase, how close is it to the ITA Matric indicated fare?I find it preferable to research using ITA Matrix and then go same day to my travel agent.
