Best VISA card for SQ Krisflyer?

... I am warehousing points in Westpac Platinum Amex that can get transferred to CX,MH and SQ and probably others so if it takes a couple of years to accumulate the points this avoids the 3 year time clock starting.

Feb 2013 update

Looking at Westpac website today and saw this:

"...
  • Points are automatically credited to your KrisFlyer account every month once you’ve provided us with your Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer membership details
  • If you do not provide a KrisFlyer membership number at the time of application we will automatically create a KrisFlyer membership for you upon approval of your Singapore Airlines Westpac Platinum credit cards...."

I was thinking of getting this card as a backup for my Citi Select.

The automatic point transfer is a downer as it comes with a 3-year point expiry deadline !!!

Worth being aware of this as it may not suit your circumstances.

I think in this case maybe the altitude plat plus would be better?

The SQ Krisflyer card comes as a combo - AMEX and VISA - AMEX 1.5pts/$1 (3pts/$1 on SQ spend) and VISA 0.5pts/$1.

YES the VISA component of this nigh on useless - I am back to using the AMEX as primary card over Cent - Select for all Visa spend.

Do you guys seriously keep pts longer than 3 years? I am lucky to have them 3 mths before I use them.

Suites,First Class and Business Class flights with SQ have been good / great with availability.
Westpac Platinum Plus Altitude Amex is working fine for warehousing points.
Citi Select Visa has been really good for warehousing in the non QF points earning.
There are other Citi cards that can do a good job of earning Kris points on Visa so check their offers.
Just choose one that suits your circumstances for use as a Visa card.
I agree with Cruiser Elite that Westpac Visas only earn a true half point per dollar in points so these cards don't make it into our wallets.
Having the two Kris Flyer accounts with enough points is our aim so we can move up to twelve to various international places over a year. You cannot change a redemption nominee if you have them booked to travel on your points.

This has always been the case with the co-brand card.

You can 'extend' you miles for an extra 6 months, and then another 6 months (1 year total). SQ do charge a 'fee'/penalty in miles, unless you are a PPS club member in which case it is free).
