Best seats economy A380?

Good to know! I'm on 32J tomorrow night from SIN to MEL... will report back once I've done the flight.

Are you aware that you can't stretch your legs out fully in row 32? Did SYD to DFW in 32K. Even with the bin to put my legs on, I found it incredibly uncomfortable for sleeping. Shorter day flight I'd take it though.

ISTR you being in the order of 190cm tall - are you going to stick your feet to the left through to PE?

Yes, that's the plan. Will wear white socks...

Yes, I am aware it's a bulkhead. Was actually thinking of changing to 33J after speaking to serfty the other day, but it's already taken. I'll still give it a try and see how it goes. I did a QF94 in 51K previously and found that acceptable. At least the flight is only ~7 hours.

How would 32J compare to 23J on A333's or 43H on 747's?

43H is great with the cut out in the bulkhead at floor level. 23J is ok taking turns to stretch legs towards business galley. I was in 23A once for a 5 hour flight and when I got off in PER had cramps for a few hours. Never again.

The cut-out on the 747 makes it significantly better than the other two. From memory 32J on the A380 is about the same as 23J on the A333s in terms of leg room. Ie, both not enough for someone who is 5'10" to stretch out with straight legs.

I used to be 5'9" and find 23J ok on the A330's and I can stretch out one leg at a time.

Well 32J was pretty good, but I probably wouldn't choose it again for an overnight flight if trying to sleep. Definitely would for a day flight.

The main issue is obviously the wall, which actually extends a bit into the aisle making it difficult to stretch your feet into the PE cabin.

Hi all

I've read through a few threads about the economy seats on the upper deck on Qantas A380 but still not sure which of the above two seats would be better. 32 seems to be bulkhead/more legroom but I'm not personally a fan of not being able to raise the armrests (hoping no one is next to me of course). Less legroom in 33G but can spread across two seats if the one next to me stays vacant. Any thoughts? My only options on upper deck are 32 F/G or 33F/G or 35F for $105. Nothing much of interest downstairs. Thanks!

165cm/5'5", very average but not tall. Seat Guru says 32G has more knee room but maybe less legroom due to bulkhead and reduced width because of IFE in armrest. I'm in 33G at the moment but wondering whether to switch. Thanks!

I've done 32A and was happy with it. My mum did 35F and was happy with it too. She got a bit of traffic though as there is only the one lav for the section. 36D is the worst - saw a 6'5" chap endure that once, I'm still not sure how he managed.

Go with 32G. At your height it should give you enough room and there will be nobody reclining into you. You can also stretch your legs out into the PE cabin a little if needed. (You can't really do that in 32J on the other side of the aisle due to the position of the wall.)
