Can anyone please advise on the best seating for a couple in PE to LAX? I have only been on the pre-fit out 777 and found the bulkhead a little tight. I remember something about this being changed. any updated advice would be great as I need to book ASAP.

16A and the seat beside it ...

(Bulkhead is better is still tightish for those of average height and greater).

So that's behind the Bulkhead. What's your reasons if you don't mind me asking?

I'm 6' (183cm) and the bulkhead is still to tight - especially for long-haul.

AC or HK in rows 16 or 17.

16A/C. We are booked in this row for October, The new 777 PE configuration has 15/16/17, but A/C is staggered to be slightly further back than H/K. 15 has a bulkhead and a recessed screen in the armrest, less leg room and overall a more claustrophobic atmosphere IMHO.

I prefer the fixed screen, roomier footwell and great window alignment in Row 16. However I do like H/K if we are leaving Sydney on the North/South runway, as it has a superb view over Sydney Harbour as we climb, but there are never guarantees....

No dedicated toilet, shared with economy. There a servery bench behind 17JK ... press the call button for booze.

VA's own 777 seat map shows one toilet dedicated to premium economy, but I have no idea if this is actually enforced.

In my experience, it is not enforced. Those in economy X don't walk back past row 38 to the lav.

I have not flown PE since the re-fit and it had a dedicated PE toilet which was great. Ec X never existed.

We flew YX last year and were encouraged by cabin crew to utilise the two forward PE toilets. However, I find the one in Row 38 on the port side is much roomier, so I often sought that one out.

Just returned from LAX, Flew Y+ BNE-LAX 16A and C, was less then half full. Did see YX using both Y+ toilets.
Had great FA's looking after us and the food imo, was better than on the way home in J.
