Definitely incorrect advice on the 0% fx fee cards. Both th eplat and world give basiclaly the xe.com rates, just liek the CBa, Coles MC, 28 degrees etc.

My experience of the BW World M/C was the same. As it happens, I have now changed mine to the No Fee Platinum which is also forex fee free but with no annual fee as my day-to-day points earning non-Amex card is now the HSBC QF card which, as a Premier customer, costs me only $99pa.

Bumping this thread up to see if there are any great OS cards for spending. We have to spend around 200k pa overseas and I am looking for an alternative to the Citi Prestige. Are there any good points earners with no/less than standard 3% foreign transaction fees?
I am looking at the Coles MC but the points transfer cap stops me...

The Westpac Amex gets 2 points per dollar on overseas spend

The Qantas Platinum Mastercard gets 1.5 points per dollar on overseas spend

Thanks. Are they charging the 3% transaction fee? I have the Amex Explorer and can earn 2ppd on that. I would prefer something that transfers to Krisflyer rather than Qantas though. (forgot to mention that ...oops)

Go the coles MC. The cap is generally removed during FB points transfer bonuses.

I agree with this. I’m finding the cap isn’t being applied even outside of bonus transfer periods.

buggar all options. ANZ, CBA, Bankwest, Coles.

Yes, both charge a 3% fee

What about the ANZ adventure travels card? Currently also 80k bonus velocity and free domestic flight.

Can transfer to KF directly or if you wait for velocity bonus, better to transfer to KF via VFF

Edit: sorry actually not suited for your high spending but good for a low spender
