I'm wanting to book award flights for March and April 2015 and don't know what would be the best options.
I have 104K AAdvantage Miles and (currently) 140K QFF points.
My home airport is GLT and everywhere is via BNE so it doesn't matter whether it's a MEL or SYD international departure.
Loose itinerary:-
To Oslo last week in March (for a side trip to Tromso - I want to see the Northern Lights), Oslo to Manchester end of March / early April, hire car to visit dead relatives, ending up in Oxford for a convention by 10th April. Not sure what after that, but head home around 17th or 18th April.
I have been trying out dummy bookings but getting totally confused, especially with the different types of awards. I was thinking of using the AA miles for outward and QFF points for return. Are there any options for earning points and SC? I've learned a lot since I joined this site (thank you all) but still got a long way to go. Can anyone offer suggestions to help clear my confusion?
