Usually if you have no reception, traffic isn’t a problem.
Conversely, when traffic is a problem, you can usually get data - hence its value in avoiding said traffic.

I absolutely agree, but my comment was using offline maps when you don’t have data. Once you get back into range your traffic info will automatically appear.
