Could anyone please advise the best value chain for accomodation in New York,Nice,Vienna,U.K.,Dubai,Hongkong thanks.

You mights get replies but a question like this gets out as much as you put in.

Do you have VA status? Any special CCs?

What budget? What is value to you? Why do you want a chain hotel?

Do you plan on using this trip to gain status with a chain? How long is your trip?

It all depends on what you actually want from your hotels, and your question.

As Cynicor said. You'll get a lot more healthy input if you can provide some more of the nuts and bolts first.

As others say more information would help such as the length of stays in each country.
However your profile shows you have status with Hyatt, Priority Club, Starwood, and Hilton.
Unless you are chasing a status boost, wouldn't the choice be the best value/cheapest hotel in each city, selected from the four chains.
You should also take location into account. In my experience being to close to where you want to be is important.

We will be gone for 31 nights average price $250.00 a night. I,m sorry I should have asked which hotels give better recognition of status. Also I should have asked which hotels are recommended in these locations. Average stay 4 -5 nights.

No easy answer to your question, as hotel rooms can vary by 400% or more depending on demand/ local events etc. You would need to put down where and when to the day and even then it's unlikely to be a simple answer. Things to consider:

1. What's your point balances like - NY is often a good use of points VS pay, as is any location where a points break is on offer through priority club.
2. SPG - Their best price guarantee program is good if you read the rules, using Skyscanner to check rates VS SPG.com will often show a difference, if approved you get the cheaper rate less 10% or 2000 bonus points and the cheaper rate, if the savings over a number of days is over $60 go for the 10%.
3. Dont forget cash back, IHG and SPG are often up to 15% back through Mr Rebates and Ebates on the total bill, and in the case of Priority Club rewards bookings these even have cash back, I have a NYE stay coming up where I expect to make a profit vs the cost of points burned. Hilton cash back is only on offer through topcashback.co.uk, effectively good for UK residents only.
4. Dont forget promos, they can be lucrative, and your stays will often count to elite status.

Based purely on recognition, i'd go for Hyatt every time.

Last year I was Hyatt Platinum and HHonors Diamond. Now i'm Hyatt Diamond and HHonors Gold. I've moved my business to Hyatt based on how they treated me as a platinum. The only downfall was the lack of Breakfast when I was Platinum.

If you have HHonors Gold or Diamond, and you opt to stay at Hyatt properties, you can do a Diamond Challenge with Hyatt. 12 Nights in 60 days (Easily met by what you say) and you'll get Diamond thru February 2014. You'll also have Diamond for the entire duration of the Challenge. In addition, you'll get 1000 bonus points for each night up to 6000 points, and if you choose the 1000 Diamond member amenity you'll get a bonus 1000 points per stay (as well as the standard 30% bonus for Diamond). That will also give you 4 free confirmed suite upgrades when your trial kicks in, each of which is good for upgrades on stays up to 7 nights at Hyatt and Andaz properties.

If no suite upgrades, you're guaranteed the best possible available room, excluding suites, at check-in and club/lounge access, as well as your free internet and breakfast.

Do a quick google search for info on how to apply for the challenge :)

+1 for this as well.

Unless you have a very specific reason to stay at a particular hotel chain (only thing I can think of is Intercontinental Royal Ambassador due to guaranteed upgrades + free minibar), the best would be to hop around. Mind you, 31 nights is a fair bit so if you do jump chains, you may be missing out on a opportunity to hit higher status at a particular chain so how much this is personally worth to you would probably come into play here.

I regularly do multi-city trips and I always go for the best location/value in each city without being too fussed about the chains. For me personally, getting a free 3rd night through FHR in 1 chain in NYC then getting another free 3rd night in HKG through Virtuoso at another chain is worth more than getting 1500 extra starpoints by being 'loyal' to a chain. Best of all, usually because there would be multiple of these types of deals in any large city, I actually get to stay in properties that I like rather than be biased towards a property or a location which may not be ideal for my visit.

Even with the chain jumping, it doesn't seem to work out too bad for my mileage account anyway overall because many of the hotels I prefer (the Mandarin Orientals spring to my mind) allow me to directly credit miles to a frequent flyer account.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
