Hi All,

I would like to know peoples opinions on the best British Airways business class seats for myself and my wife, plus our 16 month old bub...

It would be for Sydney-Singapore BA0016 and Singapore-Sydney BA0015...

Appreciate your feedback.

the rear facing 'couples' seats' in the last row of the cabin (ie the ones in the middle ofthe cabin, side-by-side, facing the rear bulkhead). They give you a little private mini-suite for two!

That would be 15E/F in the 777. The bulkhead has cot shelf, and you don't have to worry about going in/out past other passengers.

As you have a baby the best would be the centre seats. Saying that, we hated them. There was no air flow and you have to step over the legs of your aisle 'companion' and if they decide to lower the privacy screen, or you do, they are right beside you. If we do it again we'll pick any outside pair over the centre pairs.

Agree with 15 E/F

i always try for 15A/K on checkin on BA777 and usually get it

was moved to an empty 15 E/F (both seats) when IFE failed

having both seats for 1 person makes a really nice mini cabin:p

Did not notice any circulation problems

Pick another airline 
+1 to that. BA make Many other crew seem like angels, food so so and seat size layout pokey very personal and awkward for fellow travellers and no storage. But still better than JQ *class

Hi Guys,

Long time reader. Great wealth of information here.
We are taking a 2 month trip later this year.

We are in a similar situation to above.
Me, my wife and 11 month old baby.

Flying BA31 LHR - HKG on A380.

Looks like they preallocated us to upper deck 50 J/K.

Considering whether it is worthwhile moving to lower deck (looks like 14E/F on A380)?

TIA!

As a solo I did 53K which I found quiet. As a couple 14 E/F is probably better. Both have the direct aisle access. From memory 14 also has the bassinet clips

53J/K would also be good in that you sit opposite each other and the direct able access.

I always find top deck of A380 more quiet/smoother ride (except in F of course)

Have a look at FT

Upper deck window seats have side stowage. As a solo traveler my preference is 53A or 53K so that I am not stepping over anyone. I would always try for upper deck if possible - feels less like a large dormitory.

True, but they get very claustrophobic and the bassinet prevents access out of that side. Also the bassinet is utter carp compared to others we have used for Master_O. I would pick a window pair any day. Rear-facing, window for Mrs so she has some privacy, esp if breast feeding, and forward-facing aisle for Mr. Sprog can be shared between the two and the privacy screen can also be lowered.

Can someone give a comment on seating in the rear facing seats on BA A380 J? Do they feel weird? Strange? Will definitely go UD but I am having a hard time choosing the seats themselves.
Thanks!

Rear facing seats don't feel weird at all. A little different on takeoff because you aren't pressed back in to the seat, but during flight it makes no difference - in fact probably a little better because with the slight nose-up attitude of the plane your head stays above your feet in flat bed mode.

The brace position is different, and the other upside is rear facing seats are much safer in the event of an emergency.

MEL_Traveller, Many thanks for the info. It is assuring to know that it does not feel strange sitting that way.

And plus the endorsement from "THE" Mr Hancock! I can't go wrong choosing the rear facing seat!

Thanks all!
