Berlin or Barcelona QF or someone else

We are looking to take the family to Europe - probably for Christmas - and arriving in either Berlin or Barcelona (ex Sydney). Q Club members and long time QF flyers but open to alternative top tier carriers

Looking for advice or Pros/Cons of
(a) landing in Berlin vs Barcelona AND
(b) who would you fly, where would you connect etc for best value / experience
(c) how to maximise the use of any QFF points we may have if we go QF

We have just booked Barcelona, doing QF BNE>SIN then EK SIN>DXB>BCN, (same in the return).

We wanted 3 short legs though with a 2yo including ~24hrs in Singapore on the way over.
