I don't know what it is about the 767's, but they seem to land a lot harder than other aircraft. (Although I would give my personal hardest ever landing to one in an MH 777)

The hardest landing I have ever experienced was in a C152, with myself in seat 0A (the PIC was in seat 0B). :D

The removal of BA from Melbourne also means that QF will be keeping their ex BA 767s on lease for a while longer, and boy do some of those have some serious cycle numbers.
Yes, they remind me of Sydney's old "red-rattlers" - the suburban trains we had for decades. I reckon these 767's are the new "red-rattlers". I might start keeping a tally of how many overhead lockers spontaneously open for each take-off and landing! :D

All depends on the conditions at the time, the hardest landing I did was in an empty QF 747-400 at Avalon where we were doing circuts and bumps, last bump was with a 30 know crosswind which resulted in the masks dropping form the ceiling in the empty pax cabin, needless to say with only one runway at Avalon we soon moved the training to Tulla.

So I presume that bigjobs has got the answer to his question...and I'm glad to see that the rumour has been squashed that BA are leaving the Oneworld alliance.
