Perhaps some of my confusion might be that I am entering the Terminal from the F check in at the south end of the Terminal...

So if you go past security then the South Lounges are to the right. And you need to walk a bit go down an escalator walk a bit then up an escalator then you have the Flounge, Spa, Concorde room, another escalator and J lounge. Have never been to the North lounge so not sure of the route....

North Lounge (Top Left Corner), same level as security. Very easy. Turn left after security and walk towards the corner. Can't miss it.

ozmille - to walk from South Lounge to North Lounge would take 10 minutes, 'at most'.

Of course, a WP would naturally gravitate to the South Lounge and its Galleries First. :p

But, they didn't have pre made mini Bacon Rolls at the South Lounge, while at the North, they did. The South had lots more hot breakfast options (due to F Lounge l guess), even black pudding (which was yummy).

Also, the T3 Galleries is very nice. Only spent about 40 minutes in there.

Have you been in the AA flagship in T3 Serfty? I skipped it and went straight to Galleries. ;)

The only times I have been in the departure evirons of T3 I have been in the privileged company of SWMBO - lounge crawls do not happen in those circumstances. :-|

I usually turn right and go to the south lounge, sit there for a while watching the aircraft come and go whilst mrsdoc goes shopping for handbags, then if departing from concourse B, head to the lounge there once mrsdoc has had enough shopping.

What's the 5B Lounge like? (Atmosphere, food+plonk, showers, WiFi? I ask because l might head to the 5B Lounge instead of the 5A lounges next time...)

There is talk that once 5C gets up and running with more flights, they'll open a lounge there too (It's in the plan somewhere - BA Inflight magazine quote).

You made a good decision. The only reason I went there (other than out of boredom and Champagne that was too warm in T3F) was that I wanted to upgrade to F on AA using points. It is better than the JFK F lounge though ;)

The JFK F lounge cannot be much chop then! I think a decent QP (J, not F) is as good as, indeed probably better than, the AA F lounge at LHR

I actually think the LHR T3 AA F lounge is bigger... The food in both is woeful and only US "champagne" is served in JFK - I didnt even try to see what they had at LHR.

I guess it's a bit relative; when you consider the poor excuse BA have for a lounge at JFK¹, the A/C options (which at JFK are not bad for A/C's) and the Flagship lounge, the Flagship lounge stands out.

¹ The only thing the T7 F lounge has going for it is champagne,

5B essentially the same except smaller, food+drink = same, quieter overall, didnt look for showers, plenty of computers / wifi same as T5A.

I wouldnt go to 5B if departing 5A (as most of my recent flights have), but if departing 5B I would just wander over when you've had enough of the mahem in T5A / seen enough / just want a change of scene (depending on the length of time) after looking at the shops (there wasnt much shopping in T5B last I was there).
