In addition to fuel and the Dallas tax, Qantas are now introducing a "peak" surcharge

Qantas will apply a peak season travel surcharge – “Q Surcharge” – to tickets issued in Australia for select Qantas International routes and cabins. The Q Surcharge will be applied to routes on certain days/holiday periods where the demand for travel is high. The Q Surcharges are effective for all bookings ticketed on/after 15 May 2014, for immediate travel. Customers booked and ticketed before 15 May 2014, for travel on the selected routes, will not incur the Q Surcharge. |
