As a bronze member selected economy plus seats for the family on an existing classic award flight in manage booking, paid the seat fee via CC and confirmed in banking app. QF provided a seat selection receipt via email, acknowledging payment, has also deducted 5000 points per passenger (not acknowledged in receipt), despite no other changes being made to the flight? Anybody else experienced this? QF IT gremlins?

The 5000 pts deducted pp obviously doesn’t sound right and possibly because the Y+ seat selection might trigger a ticket re-issue (I received a new ticket after changing to a Y+ seat on a domestic paid flight - but $0 fee as WP).

I’d be calling QF to get the points back.

I don’t recall reading about your issue here before, but you’re probably not the first.
