Award booking cancelled by CX

Have just found out that my actual flights Mel-Hkg-Mxp have been cancelled for the day I have booked(no contact fromCX, just noticed they weren't available to buy revenue)

What are the responsibilities from CX for this?
Specifically could I ask them to book into flights with revenue availability with different ports eg SYD-HKG-CDG for same day
Hopeful I know. Am hanging on phone waiting to speak to them
 
Yes it is.
They told me that they couldn't but have reissued MEL-HKG-CDG in Y+/Y+ as opposed to the original Y+/J with adjustment of miles/taxes

Disappointing but better than nothing as am on an inflexible schedule
Will look out for any random J availability in the next few weeks

I am still a bit twitchy about the MEL-HKG leg as it's still not coming up for revenue bookings but she assured me it was still available

I have a similar problem, I booked a points plus via Qantas. Bkk-Hkg_Mel using Emirates and CX, and the money has come off my credit card but the booking has disappeared. I have tried ringing QF but their Bkk office is closed and I have been disconnected twice now after waiting 20mins on Skype. I cannot find an email address on the Qantas website where you can contact them. Even logging into the FF site is difficult from BKK. Hopefully it will be sorted but not sure how

I was right to be twitchy as the Mel-Hkg is indeed cancelled. Looks like it's cattle for us. There was some Y+ Saver in SQ but now not enough Amex miles now I've shipped to CX
 
I did go to book a Y fare but took advantage of the $25 hold fare option

Meanwhile a J/J CX/AY SYD-HKG-HEL came up. Mrs andye will need to throw off her scrubs before getting into the airport taxi from work

Happy days (and we get another night with rellies) :D

Just ring the Aussie number for reservations. I don't even know if the Bangkok office is a fully fledged Qantas office, but rather an agent?

I have spent 45mins 3times on Skype trying to ring the contact center, currently been on the phone for 20mins 9pm Bkk time 1am Syd time. Still on hold. Bloody hopeless

Yeah - the Aussie call centre has hold times up to four hours or more at the moment.

Not really expecting anyone to read this, just need a vent.
CX cancelled my 7 Dec J award flights SYD-HKG-HEL on 5 Dec
Offered SYD-MEL-DOH-HEL for 8 Dec
Not too bad but would knock nearly a whole day off our 5 day trip to UK

Called them that evening and they seemed to be able to give me SYD-HKG-CDG-LHR on 8 Dec losing only half a day

Get a ticket with both sets of flights on it so queried and then they decide they can't change the final destination on an award booking.

So accept the QR flights, rebook the Finnair HEL-LHR connecting flights at EUR150 extra due to fare difference (1h wait with AY callcentre but very efficient

Then find out CX have booked seats on the VA & QR flights not together. Unable to select seats online via CX/AY or QR (despite QR Plat) as booked by CX

In the end manage to get through to QR by phone (commendably short wait) who have at least fixed the MEL-DOH leg

Lots of phone time, not much work done
