Been out of the loop recently, what's the status on screenshot bookings? Are they completely dead?

Not at all! There have been some reports of delays (screenshot bookings taking longer than just a few days), but they have never been stopped outright.

I've received a new offer of up to 125% bonus miles for purchases between 25-28 July.

SYD-BKK no longer a sweet spot for LM or United? surprised to see it @ 75K for TG F (been out of the Asia LM loop too long)

Been like that for a while unfortunately.
Flying SE Asia to Australia you get a discount - 40K in J or 60K in F. This is the only sweet spot left.

Guys I haven't used LM for years, are TG F awards blocked on certain routes or something ?
Trying to find CDG-BKK TG931 and have tried multiple dates in May or June 2019 and online search tool keeps showing as "sold out".
Or are they limiting it to one pax until closer to departure or something ? (I am searching for two pax)

Cheers

Hi all,

This is a strange question but unfortunately so are the circumstances. Could someone tell me if a LM redemption ticket can be transferred to another person for a fee. i.e. Name change or something similar. Basically 2 tix bought but one passenger cannot travel. Can one of those tickets be transferred to another party who is willing to travel? No changes to dates/flights etc. I will get them to call LM but thought someone on here might know. TIA

Unfortunately:

In award tickets obtained by redeeming miles the change of name is not permitted.

It might be it is sold out, or seats are being limited (and have been sold out).

No reported problems with TG F that i know of.

There is one problem that I noticed with TG F, very hard to find more than one award seat on each flight these days.

Hi All

Sorry of this has been noticed/discussed but looking at ICN-JFK shows first available on both OZ202 and OZ204.. but 204 is an A350-900 and does not have F... so I can see seats in J 75000 pts and F 90000 pts yet its a J cabin..

Have i missed something ?

EDIT : sorry ICN - LAX

Well have just completed the first cancellation of a Lifemiles award.A problem at first with the automated CC system but then went smoothly.miles back in account immediately.
Rang Bogota.Timed it for just after 0800 Bogota time.Took just under 20 minutes. Not as bad as I feared.

Similar experience a few weeks ago. Just a word of warning to credit card churners the taxes are now deposited back into the credit card you made the booking with. I paid the cancellation fee with a different card but could not get the taxes paid back into that account. Old credit card thankfully still operational.

Just a quick question about the clarity of the phone connection when you call Lifemiles support. Whenever I've done so whether on Telstra or Skype, the phone connection is not very clear, and with my unfamiliarity of Spanish accented English, I have to listen very intently to get through the call. Even when I've called the USA support, I think the calls are simply routed through to Bogota. Strangely enough calls to Iberia are much the same, so I'm not sure if it is just the accent or are the phones on both Spanish speaking organisations not as clear as KrisFlyer or Cathay etc?

There was no problem with the clarity of the phone call. The fellow I talked to had good English.the part that got me was the automated payment-that was with a heavy accent.

I think it's their phone system - which seems to be some sort of VOIP? The calls generally aren't great quality to begin with, and it can be hard to hear them. It doesn't matter whether I call them from Australia or the USA - by the time my VOIP get through to the US and is then routed on VOIP for the second time to Bogota the clarity suffers. I don't blame them for wanting to be cost effective I guess. but then I'm using a cheap calling company too!

This may not work for all, but I called Bogotá direct when dealing with issues with my booking. Clarity was good, quality of English was good, no wait time for answer. Only downside is time. This morning hour and 40 minutes to resolve an itinerary misconnect. Colombia is in Vodafone’s 2nd tier country list so a lot of Vodafone plans will have a few hours free per month for calls there.
