Avianca Brazil Amigo status match

Thanks Danger,

Yah! for sure i will not fly with them soon, but might use the star alliance benefit. Since passport details are must for sign in, being a expert, do you see any risk on it? :)

I have entered passport details and they are mine but they are for an old passport (still within its expiry but I ran out of pages and had to get another one). I wouldn't be too concerned. I'm sure there's anything you can do with a passport number without the physical passport. I only entered my passport details because I don't believe there's a valid reason to have them on file. You could try entering a random passport number with an expiry say 12/15 and see how they treat it. That way you get logged in and obviously when it comes time to travel you wouldn't have access to this expired 'passport' anyway.

Also waiting - applied on the 5th Nov, myself... TK Gold about to run dry... :)

Match to Amigo Diamond came through a few hours ago! For those interested, here's the translated email that confirmed the news (please excuse the mobile formatting):

Congratulations, you had a card category upgrade.

With AMIGO you accumulate points and can turn them into tickets to travel on our flights or in our airline partners.

You can collect points faster with our non-airline partners such as credit cards, for example.

The more points you collect, the more benefits you will get.

Currently you have the DIAMOND category and can enjoy the following benefits:

- 100% bonus on flight score;
- Additional baggage allowance of 20 kg -1;
- Priority baggage delivery;
- Check-in preferencial2;
- Preferential boarding;
- Seat assignment preferencial3;
- Exclusive E-mail service: [email protected]

To keep its category, continue flying Avianca and scoring in AMIGO.

Always present your valid card to fly with us to score and have access to the benefits of its category.

If you have questions, please contact our Helpline.

We appreciate your choice.

Cheers,
Matt.

Applied 5th November. Email received 28th November and matched to Diamond until 31st March 2017. Happy days!

Thanks Danger, I just put couple of zeros and it went through without issue :)

It's been a month so far, and nothing yet. Follow up email hasn't been replied to either...

I applied 5th November as well. Just received an email saying my card needed to be within it's expiry. The issue is, my QFF Platinum card expired end Nov 2015 and I have not received my replacement card as yet.

Not a happy camper.

Either I was lucky or you are unlucky. I applied about 3 days before my QF SG was due to expire at the end of October and got matched with confirmtion coming last week. Perhaps they have tightened up on applications since then.

I sent mine on the 7th and got confirmation of the match today. Can anyone confirm if they are distributing cards with this match?

I reckon it's probably too early to know, considering how long it takes even VA to get their FF cards delivered.

Many FF programs don't issue cards until you demonstrate a 'need' for them by actual flying. Alaskan springs to mind and I don't recall getting anything from Royal Air Moroc Safar FF either ...

That is true when you enrol in the programme at a basic level.
However it is generally not the case when you attain a higher status level - whether earned or matched.
So I continue to wait in hope ...

Agreed. I feel like a basic member has no need for a card, therefore no point sending it out if they're only going to take a single flight.

When they say you'll get a card after five flights, surely that excludes those moving up a status level – i.e. us matchers!
