Is it too early to hope this is a plateau?
Sadly, probably. I thought it had plateaued in the high 100-low 200 region but now has hit a consistently higher level. I feel there is little reason to believe that couldn't happen again. Is it too early to hope this is a plateau?
My view is that Sydney won't see 100 again.....Is it too early to hope this is a plateau?

Pfizer too, cue for the anti vaccination nutters to claim Pfizer doesn’t work.First fully vaccinated death in Australia.
More than a whisper - clearly spoken about at the presser. My view is that Sydney won't see 100 again.....
It might plateau at 500 - there is a whisper of NSW Police redrafting health orders this week to make it more enforceable - it might have some effect on compliance.
ABC blog haven't picked up on it yet...........I was half listening to the NSW authorities press conference and didn't get a solid confirmation - to me it sounded like everyone talking around it.More than a whisper - clearly spoken about at the presser.
Yep. Many Defence Force personnel work in Canberra and live in NSWPart of the problem with that is that many people live outside the borders of the Territory and commute in and out of it constantly as part of daily life.
Two days ago I was rung for a phone survey. Many questions about how well Fed Govt is doing with CV, how well NSW Govt doing with CV.This is the sneak peak of the NSW cabinet discussion about implementing a ring of steel - very very heated!
YesThe deaths of the vaccinated person - was he in his nineties?
There have been snippets of all governments polling on this issue....I think I specifically heard Qld and Vic as wellTwo days ago I was rung for a phone survey. Many questions about how well Fed Govt is doing with CV, how well NSW Govt doing with CV.
Do you support lockdown in Sydney. 3rd last question - would you support a 'ring of steel' around Sydney?
Forget the medical advice - is NSW being run by the private polling results?
Have any other NSW based AFFers had similar calls this outbreak?
So that fact would to me be more important than anything else. Of course sad for the family but for my family where the oldest parent lived to be 86 - and one as young as 54, well. I dunno anymore.
I agree. No-one in my immediate family has ever ascended to the lofty heights of the 90s. My mother made 58 and my father 65. One of my grandparents made their way into their late 70s. Without wishing to sound harsh I always feel somewhat bemused when someone dying in their 90s is described as a tragedy as I always regard it as a major achievement to get so far and their life should be celebrated. So that fact would to me be more important than anything else.
