AN Australian flight attendant accused of a bomb hoax on a London-bound plane had a note in his bag warning explosives were on board, an English court has heard.

Matthew Carney, 23, from Melbourne, was arrested on Monday after the Emirates flight he was working on landed at London's Gatwick airport amid fears it was carrying a bomb.

This is a very out of character situation that he finds himself in," she said, adding Mr Carney had not slept for four days before the flight because he had been working non-stop

I hope Emirates are paying him overtime then.:rolleyes:
the plane's 164 passengers and 18 crew spent the next 10 hours being questioned and having their bags searched

It's probably a good thing he's in custody because if I had been held up for 10 hours due to the actions of some idiot I would not be amused !
I think candyflip summed it up perfectly.
