Anyone know what happened with EUR rewards seats, the value seems like it's been obliterated

BNE-LHR on SQ is at 160k points plus almost $600 in fees - if you value pts at 1.5cpp this comes out to almost $3,000 😱

Is there another way to use velocity pts to get to europe? As I've got 255k sitting there and think I will head over in the next couple of months

If not - it seems like the only use for velocity pts now is domestic travel, plus maybe Bali?

Maybe don't look at what Emirates is charging for Qantas Point redemptions...

You could look at it this way. If you have 160K VFF points you could either use them to fly to London on SQ for an outlay of $600, or you could use them for something else.

if you want to go to London and pay only $600, that seems a reasonable deal to me.

I think the emphasis on maximising value can be misplaced. If you have the points and want to do or buy something, and there is no immediate competing use for the points, then use the points. It’s very likely more points will come along later.
