While Emirates strive to replicate their lounge experience worldwide, so that each lounge will often contain the same look and feel, there are enough small differences in each one to stand out. The Auckland lounge has the job of handling three A380s in a short space of time, so it's larger than its Singaporean kin.

Location
It's to the right at the top of the escalators adjacent to the QP, but miles in front when it comes to what's inside. While there is no real view, unlike the Singapore lounge, its comfortable enough (part of the outlook covers the public observation area that appears to be doubling as a very cheap youth hostel even in the middle of the day).

Showers etc

There are limited shower facilities with one in the main men's room and another separate as part of the wheelies facility, both are very large and the normal shower needs are readily on hand.

Seating and Business centre

There are ten PCs, and to the delight of many of our members, a printer.

Seating is classic EK lounge style for around 150 including the food area.

Food

No cook to order items here unlike Singapore, but some nice local options.

There are three drink stations, the selection on offer somewhat shames the adjacent QF f lounge.

Yep, verve it is, makes it very easy to follow the flight status board!

Not having been to AKL for a while it used to be at the bottom of the escalators pictured. When did it move spots?

A little over two years ago.

For space it usurped some of the pre-existing AirNZ shower cubical area and about a third of the upper deck viewing area.

I never noticed that, you lot are observant! The time on the image file indicates 2.38PM, so just relax LOL

I was in this lounge on Saturday - so much better than the Qantas lounge - unfortunately I just didn't have enough time there. Where was this when I was stranded in Blenheim and Christchurch airports for twelve hours last Thursday because of fog in Wellington

Can I access the Auckland Emirates Lounge when flying on a QF flight number on QF metal with QFF WP?

We also got the 'EK flights only as we are full' when they clearly were not. Pretty disappointing.

I've been in the lounge 3 times this year - always flying QF code and QF metal - never been denied entry.
