Buy a large denomination visa gift card from office works.

Cheapest non business way I have found.

As suggested, cheapest is buying VISA gift cards to use, however they don't work with ATO anymore and thats what this tread is about.

Guess it's a wait and see... What happens to all these payment processors.

I'm going hard till 30 September then let's see if I just switch to EFT for all payments

I assume the current retail pricing model for Sniip et al includes some fraction that is their own transaction cost, which may be reduced by the changes, but they charge for the service (direct earn is reduced or unavailable) rather than interchange per se so they may well be allowed to continue, with or without a commensurate reduction.

But the banks may impose new limits on them too, which may impact the viability of their business model.

I don't know the answer to this, but I suspect the fees charged by Sniip etc. are not covered by the ban. They aren't a surcharge on a card payment, as such, but a processing fee that includes extra services. The costs are also very clearly advertised.
