ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

I think I will be ready to hand my eldest sons credit card back this coming weekend. He should find that I have run up a 7 figure number of dragon points for him. This week he is in Tokyo for a soccer game that he will be watching and then back at work on Friday.
Hi All,
If you don't mind me asking , what period of time did you take to put the seven figures through? I put six figures through my dragon each month of non ATO and it seems to go fine. I've got a very large tax bill ($400K) to pay soon over the period of a month which means I can only overlap two CC billing cycles. I was wondering if this was flying the dragon too hard? Thoughts?
Thanks.

I have never had a call so I just load and spend. The million dragon points is over a couple of weeks and it is on a new card that issued this month.
This was one of those months with quarterlies as well as a monthly BAS.

Has anyone here used Yak Pay with Virgin Money cards (Velocity Flyer/High Flyer) and received bonus points?

We've been using a few different cards/ know of people using different cards on the platform. Our Dragon card thus far has been working great. A mate of mine uses the Velocity cards and I'm pretty sure he's had no issues when using it - and has been receiving the points associated with the reward programs offered. It's also listed on the platform in a drop down box in cards so I think you should be good to go

Cove, is that a business card?

I'm probably being too conservative from the looks of some of these comments, as I try not to fly it too hard!

I have not bothered with a business card as our personal ones have all worked a treat. We are dealing with a computer.
My favourite eldest son and his partner were wowed by flying on the Virgin A330 in business so I am unsure as to whether they can keep the warehoused points in the dragon card for the 10% birthday bonus.
My brother runs pretty much on empty as he has multiple redemption nominees who want to go to France fairly often With Kris Miles.
i ran up a largish number of Virgin points and I can still do about 40 domestic business class return runs on the A330 before I will need to replenish that stash.

I just received my statement for the NAB Rewards Business Signature Card, in an included flyer

"From 28/03/2020, payments you make to the Australian Taxation Office will earn you points*:

- 1 Qantas Point for every $1.50 you spend on your NAB Qantas Business Signature Card*

- 1.25 NAB Rewards Points for every $1 you spend on your NAB Rewards Business Signature Card

That's the same rate or reward as regular everyday business purchases."

I guess useful if a business card is your only option

nb

3,000 NAB Rewards Points = 1,000 Asia Miles
3,000 NAB Rewards Points = 1,000 KrisFlyer Miles
3,000 NAB Rewards Points = 1,500 Velocity Points

That is pretty good for VFF

Good to have another card that earns points for ATO spend but the Dragon still has better earn rates.

The problem with business spend and warehousing is pretty obvious. I do it, in the millions per qtr on the green monster, but we hope for the best. Just keep burning ... not so easy these days with the corona
