Re: Associate Qantas Lounge not letting Qantas members in and poor response from Qant

Hi MEL_Traveller, I raised two issues when I started this post along the lines of:
1) Poor response from Qantas when I complained
2) No follow up with the Premier Lounge despite Qantas assurances to my colleague.

I believe that these two issues have been addressed by Qantas. Qantas has apologised appropriately and they have informed me that they will talk to Premier Lounge. What else can I say? I am happy with the outcome.

Your updates were disappointing in that they initially provided no outcome to the broader issue of steps being taken to resolve the matter. (But on reflection I can see where you were coming from.)

You mentioned Qantas will speak to the lounge so hopefully that will show some results.

After reading all the above why should informed PAX have to come to a forum like this to get resolution?

I hope the better 'response' is that QF fix the issue at CGK and Red Roo comes back with a public response - they have 4 flights a week there on QF metal along with JQ Asia flights so it's not like there will not be many QF PAX there on a daily bases affected by this lack of 'interpretation'.

I will also add the catering ex-MNL is just as bad so not sure if it just a limitation of these airports in their catering ability or QF choosing the cheapest option which in these countries means 'non-edible' food.

Of course they shouldn't have to.
Ideally the problem wouldn't ever arise. But we don't live in an ideal world.
ideally the lounge would have reread the rules and admitted their mistake. But ...
Ideally QF would respond promptly and properly the first time the PAX complained. But ...
Ideally this forum would just be full of good news stories. But ...
Given that the world is less than ideal, I'm glad this forum provides another mechanism to pursue such complaints.

*Ideally, I would have capitalised the initial "I" on every line.
