"Asking for orange juice on AA may violate federal law"

If everything in that is true, she should be sacked. That’s terrible service. Also sounds like AA staff might be overworked.

Well that was shocking. Very hard when put on the spot. But when asked if he knows how this works, instead of outlining his flying (might be taken as DYKWIA), he could have said "no I don't could please hlep guide based on your vastly superior knowledge of how things work in first"

What a disgrace. This should never happen in any class, let alone first class.

So Dave slept through the actual incident that was witnessed by people at a diagonal and he knows exactly what happened...

Indeed. But his friends told him exactly what happened

The story is probably missing some important bits, like exactly what was said by the passenger to the FA originally, and whether there was any previous history with them on the flight.

OMfG

I am wondering how I would respond if I was orange juice guy. I would probably end up in prison lol :p :p :p

US domestic can't generally be that bad, can it?

No definitely not. In about 30 or so F flights have service by FA's (given whatever catering constraints they have) has usually been OK, if not good to excellent. (once they get past the obligatory "you must be Australian" comment when I order a scotch and coke)... However I can see how it could happen, one or two FA's have been a bit grumpy, but in no way that is representative of AA.

No definitely not.

Thank god (afterall I thought my YVR - YYZ on AC was bad). I was freaking out about my looming domestic US trips, being served by Satan's spawn does not seem enticing....

I can't comment on the whY cabin though ...

If you watch some of the other pax on your flights and hear what they say to the FA's they can be forgiven for some of their responses.
Act with respect, maybe a little humour and being friendly then the FAs generally are fine.On many US domestic AA sectors I have never come across an AA dragon(Did back from the Carribbean once though).Sometimes they do just go through the motions doing what they have to then withdrawing to the galley-as with virtually every airline you might fly. However I have experienced several crews that were really great.
My most memorable AA domestic crew was on a DEN-DFW flight(on 9/11 a couple of years ago). There had been an MS conference in DEN.There were several disabled pax.All the crew assisted, one of the Y crew came to the front to make sure the F pax had their pre-departure drinks. They were a real team and absolutely fantastic.

I've had a mixed bag on AA, even in F. I've had some stunning crew whilst down the back in Y, and some decidedly average crew in F.

On one of my last F segments in October, being seated in row 3 with direct line of sight to the CSM, I heard here mutter under her voice "I've got to bloody do this blurb 6 times today" and then launched into the welcome aboard speech, followed by the safety demo. She was sickly put-on sweet for the whole flight, and would have been in her late 60's at best.

As people have mentioned, she should be happy to have a job. If I have a bad day I can't take it out on my colleagues and people I interact with over the course of my working day, and these people shouldn't either.

Welcome AAboard! ;)

It seems like all stories to do with air travel these days have some important information missing from them.

Hard to know to who to believe but either way that is no way for a flight attendant to behave.

I doubt AA will be revealing what action was taken against Helen, but I’d assume something has been done.

She is so sacked!

and the law suit would be getting prepared right now i bet!

Unlikely to have been sacked. On the FT AA thread on this there is mention of other incidents where AA FA's were suspended/dismissed for similar breaches. Their union was able to get them 1) Reinstated and 2) Back on the job.
