Anyone seen the latest promo? Offering 1 mil + 10 x 100,000 QFF points if you redeem QFF points for an ASA.

Smart way to get people to redeem points on an option that's got to be one of the cheapest for them. Think the 1 million point prize would certainly tempt some people...

What do you think?

Frequent Flyer - Member Specials - Any - Seat

Bonus - big bonus, its not like you need a competition to get me to use them ;)

Grrr, wish this had been run a few weeks ago when I did my MEL-LHR-MEL YASA

I booked only my second ever JASA yesterday and today they start the promo!!

Unless people are purchasing "full cost" ASA - I would prefer if more people would redeem points on buying goods from the Qantas store - not competing for "classic" priced ASA! :)

Damn, got the email at 10am - I have spent all my points this year on JASA's so they could put this promo in place....can I weazel some points from my brother and father (the only ones in my family with points left!)

Just got the email for this.

Interesting that QF value the points at 10c each!

I was wondering if you get multiple entries for multiple bookings? The terms and conditions don't say either way, and the wording "For your chance to win, simply use your points to book an Any Seat Award*, including Points Plus Pay, on a Qantas flight between 6 and 19 October 2011 to be automatically entered into the draw" could be taken either way. My take is that you can only ever get one entry no matter how many ASAs you book, but I might be wrong?

It's tempting me. hopefully 2 one way ASA gives 2 entries.

I'm struck by indecision over this. decided to book a single return instead of 2 one ways - if I'm going to win one entry is enough. But can't decide between YASA at inflated points, (N class) blowing 24000 to save $178. Or J(U)ASA. Point of indecision: I want to keep the points for a family trip next year, but then YASA is such poor value, and has a higher cash cost, But 24000 bet on 1,000,000 points - But I want to keep maximum points.  AHHHHHH!

I need a some black death (coke)!

BTW I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

(sorry - can't work out how to quote someone properly!!)

The correct value is 1c each - total prize pool of $20,000 / 2 million points. About what I and many others consider a base value - obviously there are ways of making them worth more.

Perhaps I should book a fully refundable JASA for a flight after 28th October and see if I win ..........

Unfortunately after burning about 200.000 last week I only have 2900 left

Couldn't they have this promo last week!!!!

Wow, I booked 2 one way JASA tickets today, received confirmation email at 11.46am, then at 12.02pm email advising about this offer. Great timing (albeit not intentional!)

Turns out you’re covered too, I think?

The promotion commences at 11.00am (ADST) on 6th October 2011 and closes at 11.59pm (ADST) on 19th October 2011

I think I am covered, but to be entirely honest, I'm not too fussed if I'm not. The fact that I got J class seats for marginally more points/dollars than on classic award to LAX is good enough as far as I'm concerned.
In 2 weeks I'll have to book return leg back to SYD, so that purchase will definitely qualify (that's if there are decent ASA available)

I've had a look at international JASA flights to LAX and the amount of points seems much too high to be worth it, how much did you get it for? (If you don't mind me asking)
Maybe I'm looking on the wrong dates...

Waiting for jdlover23 to do his first as he was travelling in F

I'm waiting to accidentally delete all my photos - like I did with the previous 12 months of photos of lounges and seats...the night before we flew off!
