Article: What’s the Best Way to Fly from Australia to Europe in 2026?

See my post in jet fuel shortages looming - I have the same dilema. Really do not know what to do,
I have the same issue. Will probably get to Europe, flying out mid-May on QF/TK (or maybe not), but getting back early June BA/TR might be more interesting.

Well, at least if "stranded" in the UK, I'm sure that my sister(s) or brother could find a piece of the loungeroom carpet for me to sleep on.

Trade show that I am going to is normally only held every five years - has been four yearly recently as it gets back on track after COVID as it used to run on the 0 and 5 years of each decade but obviously didn't happen in 2020 so is currently 2022 - 2026 - 2030 and then is believed to be going back to five yearly thereafter. Running so infrequently I am rather keen to attend if I can!

I've been looking to book business class flights to Europe for August or September, preferably using oneworld or star alliance, on a single PNR, and avoiding any long stopovers in China and of course the Middle East.

Malaysia / Oman Air keeps coming up the cheapest option at around $10k return with 2 stops, but I'm hoping something better appears.

Air India via Delhi is also one of the cheaper options, though not sure how feasible that is, I never really hear of anyone transiting India to get to Europe.

Or I might need to roll the dice with separate bookings from AU to Asia and Asia to Europe.

Plenty folk transit delhi to get to europe. And connecting Air india to air india at delhi is easy. (lots of people gonna jump on here and say it’s really hard, but that’s because they switched airlines). simple 12 hour flight followed by 7 hours to europe.
