Would love to know how to get the "old" calendar/viewer for flight rewards as pictured in the article. The new one combining everything together is woeful for searching for availability and is slow as anything.

Using the multi city search will do the trick (must be logged in)

I am having trouble getting award seats on Air Nostrum( Iberia) even though they are available on AA and BA .

I am after business class award seats Casablanca to Madrid in September.

I know that the most likely reason they do not appear on the QFF search page is that they are not available

and

that being available on other frequent flier sites does not mean that applies to QFF.

In any case , I asked the phone agent to check for availability ( answer no) . However, she found “u” seats when looking up thru the airline code YW- ???.

She was unable to add them to my booking – saying it was most likely that Air Nostrum was not a member of OW. I do not think she is correct .

Maybe she was right, but this kind of issue has come up and been resolved with Comair – mostly domestic affiliate of BA in South Africa.

Anyone shared similar issues ?

Firstly, Air Nostrum is a oneworld affiliate airline and you can redeem Qantas points on Iberia flights operated by Air Nostrum, if there is availability. The agent would need to look for U class on IB coded flights.

I can see J award availability on some Air Nostrum flights on the QF website, but interestingly only on flights that don't arrive or depart in MAD. E.g. I can see availability on routes like Vigo-Valencia or Valencia-Bilbao, but not Valencia-Madrid. This seems to be a consistent pattern - weird.

For your trip from CMN to MAD, is Royal Air Maroc an option?

Thank you for that .
Royal Air Maroc would be an option but the Iberia flight departs over an hour later leaving me more time in Casablanca ( which I do need) !

Thanks for the article.

I noticed I couldn't book a one-way flight from EBL to DXB. I can see reward flights available when I look up a return flight from DXB <-> EBL (for the return leg EBL to DXB) on Royal Jordanian, however I cannot search a one-way flight EBL to DXB.

Unfortunately, the agents on the phone weren't able to 'price' my flight? The agent had to escalate it to another team and they weren't able to price the award and applicable taxes, and hence couldn't sell the ticket. Has anyone had this issue before? I'm going to try calling again in a few days and see what happens.

I am a fan of the One World Classic Flight Reward redemption at 316000 points for the value you get for your points. Just read the article and tested the limits suggested (1) maximum of six flight segments and (2) not contain more than 2 surface sectors. Sure enough you get a /bookingError.tripflow, every time. My current booking has 12 sectors and two surface sectors. All changes booked without an extra charge due to the Covid deal. (Earlier I had 16 sectors all up inc the surface ones but Qantas delay in issuing the tickets resulted in the flights being lost to someone else).

So here's the question. If you can't book more than 6 flights and 2 surface sectors, but your ticket has only got you half way round the world (because the last legs haven't been released as yet), will Qantas staff waive the booking points for the next sectors when they become available?

No, you need to pay the change fee each time you make changes. And there's no guarantee the call centre won't stuff up your booking, sadly (although if you're lucky enough to get Hobart or Auckland, it should be fine).

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
