Article: Most of today's flights to Sydney are sold out due to Taylor Swift

Just looked at my Tokyo Dome tickets—recording from mobiles allowed, no professional photography equipment. This is six rows from the stage from Bruno, not a lot of mobiles in front and everybody is seated for Chunky so tiny me was able to see everything. I was four rows from the stage for Taylor last night and only one mobile in front of me. Lucky!

Likely not performances at major productions inside though.
I don't know what sort of gigs when you say major productions. If you are specifically talking about indoor, I did:
- Flight Facilities at Melbourne Pavilion only 6 months ago. Flight Facilities is a major art and promoted by Secret Sounds.
- K.Flay at Oxford Art in Sydney 2 weeks ago. That's indoor but smaller.

In fact, I found this photo in my OneDrive : 2016 Jan 05, Disclosure at Sydney Opera House, concert hall. See all the phones?

Mine you, we are talking about Tay Tay, that's gig. We are not talking about, I don't know, classical or opera.

I’m talking musical theatre etc. Usually banned.

Taylor Swift is.
I think the one sings about recurrent boyfriend issues 🤷🏼🤣

I know more about Blink182's Mark Hopper who played to a smaller sell out crowd at Qudos same night (same precinct as Accor where TS played but with a lot less social media drama) than TS.

100 million in concert receipts
Less 30% withholding courtesy of the ATO

Rex had Tay express, did you ride the Sydney Trains Tay express? Were they full? Or they had enough capacity?
Yep Train from Central there and back.
Were running every 5 minutes and absolutely chockers but crowd kept moving as they didn’t bother with the ticket barriers due to everyone having free transport included.

Can't have been too bad, mate of mine on Saturday requested standby staff travel (E) from Perth to Sydney on Sunday, ended up in qf650

Phone cameras are definitely allowed at the vast majority of events in Australia these days.

Anyone whose show you’re interested in, you’ll find no-attempt-to-hide-it recordings online pretty soon after, ‘cos it’s not a problem. As someone said a page or two ago, it’s likely because the marketers know it sells tickets &/or subscriptions rather than stopping them (and it all looks pretty awful so even if they cared about the official photography it wouldn’t eat into anything they may make from that).

And yeah, turning the flash on is a really common modern alternative to the days-gone-by cigarette-lighter thing during a ballad for example.

Thinking about it … obviously not a play or something like that. But any concert, from The Wiggles to Bring Me The Horizon through The Rolling Stones via Liza Minelli while stopping at Queen + Adam Lambert enroute to Megan Thee Stallion … no probs!

I didn't go to see Tay Tay (not my thing obviously), but I did travel on the train network around the same time, and it was smooth as.
Thank God nobody did something silly / sad along the train network ......

Yes. I'm referring to theatrical productions and all the musicals that last for a few weeks.

Oh to be a middle-aged white man and to think it’s only your opinion that matters….
You’d believe “The Man” was about another failed T Swift relationship and miss how it resonates with young girls.

I might, if I had any idea what 'The Man' was about in any way at all. 🤣 Never heard of it ( yawn).

Oh, to be a [specify an age bracket] [specify a race - hey, you really needed to bring race into this??😳] and think that everyone gives a toss about Taylor Swift, and how this overexposed entertainer goes about her business.

I’m pretty sure ‘The Man’ is a Wiggles song she ‘borrowed’.
Another very successful artist, but at least Australian!

Yeah, I think you got mixed up. Tay tay is doing 'concerts'. She is not doing 'gigs', not musical.

Musicals and gigs don't flood airplanes and trains. Only concerts and festivals do.

Which is why there is a Tomorrowland plane by Brussels Air. There is no plane for musicals.

Which then makes me wonder: Why didn't Rex run more Tay Tay shuttles? They would get so much publicity to sell their gold triangle services?

Everyone records.
With the advent of cheap streaming music, there is no financial value in thousands of people recording the same concerts.

Also photography?. What can an iPhone 15 with the triple cameras do in the dark from across the other side of the stadium that will surpass a professional photographer close up

Thank God nobody did something silly / sad along the train network
I expect more train shenanigans from a Footy grand final or SoO. Blokes and beer don't mix well unlike Girls, sequins and red lippie
