Hi all,

I am flying into Milano Malpensa Airport for the first time.

I intend to plan onward travel by train. Express into Milan, and then a train to most likely Venice.

I am flying in from SIN in First Class. Arrival is at 8 am Saturday morning on April 9.

Can someone please advise on typical delays to clear customs/immigration etc.

Is their any priority lanes for F (or J) passengers?

Thanks.

I have flown into & out of Malpensa a few times (never F or J) and have found it to be a relatively quiet airport. I have no recollection of any delays, recall it being faster than SYD. We have caught train & bus to from there & it was very easy. My only small gripe was I thought it was a fair walk to find a loo once I was outside of arrivals.

Mrs RB recently read a funny post on another board where a regular traveller related a story (unsubstantiated) of his experience at MXP. He claimed that there were strong claims by MXP about how quickly the 1st bags appeared at MXP. He was intrigued that he very often saw the same red bag appear very quickly but then there was quite a gap until other bags appeared. It got the better of him 1 day & he took the red bag off the carousel & opened it & he said it was just stuffed with old newspapers.-urban myth maybe :)
