It's all about keeping risk acceptably low. As with any separate tickets there is a risk, even if you allow connections more than 24 hours. But I feel I can't live my life worrying about such remote possibilities and as long as I've considered what may happen and what I'd need to do, am comfortable taking such risks.

Too true ! if you worry that much then all you will do is stress and never enjoy life. Then again the guys at work think i am crazy on thursday afternoon jst to decide to go overseas for the weekend. :)

I forgot to mention Mr Fyfe was on the flight from Auckland to London. He played his Airline CEO card to jump to the front of the security queue at LAX :rolleyes:
