i used www.naturallytrees.com.au
they came over and cut my neighbours tree roots from around my water pipes and then put in a root barrier.
if you need limbs cut etc and the tree is high then expect to pay around $1500 - that's what my neighbours had to shell out last time they cut the tree back from my roof.
since your posting on AFF i am expecting this tree is causing some sort of flight path disruption

Well, tree is pretty big, sitting under runway 16R approach in Drummoyne area!!
Our lights occasionally shake & the TV volume goes up between 2230-2300HRS with departures to the north as curfew approaches. At least Mrs 8803's nagging is drowned out!!
