Aquire 10K bonus for using a new partner and double flight points

Maybe the site is down because they are loading transaction points and bonus points :eek: :p *rushes off to check accounts*

Edit: Looks like nothing has changed in my accounts. Both still show:

Your business has earned: 0 Aquire Points

On another note, tomorrow will be 8 weeks since my Staples points posted. I'm not sure if that means I wait until Wednesday to get on the phone to Aquire or not, but they will be hearing from me daily from then onwards about my missing points, and their failure to even follow their own T&C's.

What is the general understanding on when the 8 weeks starts?

My Staples points didn't post until the 11th or 12th November but when they did they were back dated 15th October.

I am at 8 weeks and 5 days since the purchase but only 5 weeks since they posted

The wording (which I don't have to hand but has been posted several times recently in this thread) says that points will post 8 weeks after the original transaction posts to the Aquire account. It doesn't refer to business days, and clearly notes when the points post, not when the purchase was made. That's what I have based my line in the sand off. It's definitely been more than 8 weeks since I made the purchase ;)

Its a bit dodgy, with "8 weeks after the points appear". Well mine appeared in November, but dated October, and as far as I'm concerned 8 weeks is well past. I've emailed them through their contact link to tell them the bonus is overdue.

So I guess I will wait 3 more weeks before bothering to chase mine - hopefully by then we will have a benchmark of how long yours took to post ;)

I still have 2 accounts waiting for Staples points, 1 says I will get the points within the next 8 weeks, the other up to 2 phone calls and 12 emails.

Yipee, I'm now 5/5 thanks to a very helpful staples agent.

Email from staples ... bolding by me :D

Thank you for your email and my apologies for the delay in receiving your points.

I’ve reviewed the below and have found your points are being transferred from Staples to Aquire today however I am unsure of Aquire processing times.

The website has been recently updated and now states points can take up to 8 weeks to be viewable, I believe this may be due to the program being much more popular than anticipated

Maybe next time they should look at using these new-fangled computer things rather than getting the work experience kid to process them all manually.

Had confirmation last Thursday that Aquire points were sent by Staples on 24/11. Still not showing in the Aquire account though, and hence no sign of bonus points. Almost a month to process partner points - why is their IT system such a joke?

I could be wrong, but I suspect there is a lot going on behind the scenes with a poorly planned promotion having an unforseen/unexpectedly (by the promoters) high liability in points.

There could be lots of ducking for cover and finger pointing going on.

Duck and weave all they like, but Aquire are still on the hook for 10,000 points for every business that met the terms...

I only have 1 more account waiting for my Staples purchase points.
They keep asking for the email that they sent acknowledging my membership.
Of 7 accounts this said email was only received by 1. So 6/7 accounts no email. Don't tell me something went dreadfully wrong at the Staples end.
Points now applied to 6/7 accounts - with little intervention, but this last account - 14 emails, 2 phone calls. They can fix the other 5 with no email, but this last one is being a real pain.

I have almost given up on Aquire. It is just not worth the constant chase to get the points.

While I'm at it, why can't my ABN default into bookings like my QFF number or phone number(s) ?

6 weeks and counting for those bonus points from my Staples purchase to come through...

Fully agree - as inferred I was postulating.

The fact that it takes about 5 minutes to generate an ABN at no cost was obviously not taken into account with the promotion T&C's.

20 ABN's -> $0 +
20 Acquire Accounts @$50ea -> $1000 +
20 Staples Purchases for, say $2 ea -> $40 +
= 400,000 QFF points for $1040.

Many would consider a QFF point @¼¢ reasonable value.

20 accounts!...:shock::shock::shock:
It begs the question, what can you use 400k QFF points for now the toxic leprechaun has spun his spells?

If one reads the T&Cs there is no need for constant chasing, Just some patience.

The initial 10000 and 28 staples came through relatively quickly and for me the 8 weeks for the next 10000 expire on 8th January 2015

Sure. But most here are now well over the 8 weeks after the initial posting of the purchase and no bonus. Including me.

I could have been clearer in my post. I just meant that the 10k bonus was the latest in a string of Aq points not posting correctly, including flights and partner purchases outside this promotion.

Btw. Its well past 8 wks after my initial Aq pts posted so no need to quote me the TnCs, cheers.

I received my statement today and thought someone had stolen points :shock: as the balance in the email "as at 17th December" is much less than the actual account balance

Thankfully all was as expected* when logging in so just another Aquire ITY bug I guess

*arguably 10K under but....

In the monthly statement email:

We are excited to announce two new partners to Aquire - Harvey Norman Commercial and Storage King.

Approved customers could earn Aquire Points[SUP]1[/SUP] on Harvey Norman Commercial purchases. Available to approved Harvey Norman Commercial trade customers only. Learn more about Harvey Norman Commercial .

Storage King offers Aquire Points[SUP]2[/SUP] on self storage solutions that are right for your business. Learn more about Storage King.

Aquire thanks you for your support this year and wishes you a happy and healthy New Year.

Sorry, but those new partners don't inspire me....
