When the offer listed it was here:

https://www.anz.com.au/personal/credit-cards/frequent-flyer/black/

The copy of I kept of the site states:

"4.Offers are only available to ANZ Frequent Flyer Black cardholders who areAustralian residents and who purchase Qantas Club membership using their ANZ Frequent Flyer Black card. Offers arenon-transferable and are not available in conjunction with any other offers ordiscounts. No discounts are available in respect of fees already paid. $475saving in the first year is based upon a joining fee waiver and a discount tothe standard one-year individual membership rate. The joining fee waiver is fora new one year individual Qantas Club membership purchased using an ANZ Frequent Flyer Black card by contacting theQantas Frequent Flyer Service Centre on 13 11 31. Quoted joiningfee savings are based on the joining fee for an individual Qantas Clubmembership application by an Australian resident. Different rates may beavailable for those with access to the Qantas Club Corporate scheme. Themembership fee offer is for a one year individual Qantas Club membership whichis purchased or renewed using an ANZ Frequent Flyer Black card by contacting theQantas Service Centre. Quoted membership fee savings are based on thedifference between the published corporate membership rate and the feeapplicable to an individual Qantas Club membership held by an Australianresident. Only one joining fee waiver, and one membership fee discount peryear, are available per cardholder. Qantas Club membership is subject toapproval by Qantas and to the terms and conditions of The Qantas Club, available at qantas.com/qantasclub."

The current version available appears to be the same.

Interesting, thanks.

Got my cards, called up and confirmed eligibility for the bonus points and the guy also confirmed annual fee waived (although I am certain I applied after this was removed from the website).

How long has it been taking on average to transfer the bonus points?

I completed the min spend more than three months ago and nothing has come through yet.

Are they showing online in your points earned this period?

If not, I would chase it up with ANZ asap. For me, they were showing basically as soon as I hit the min spend, and transferred next statement.

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

So I applied for the card in February, was accepted after sending in 2 pay slips, got the cards, did minimum spend of $2,500 (strata levies so small surcharge paid on Visa) - points for the $2,500 spend came through quite fast and then 75,000 bonus points about 4 weeks later, then credited over to QFF account about 3 weeks after that (8 April). Just rang ANZ today and have now closed the account - will now try the Westpac offer of 50,000 points.

Quick question - ANZ can't try to 'claw back" the 75,000 bonus points can they?

Definitely not. And what have you done 'wrong' to even give them reason to try and recover the points?

Is the 75000 bonus ANZ Rewards black (not the QFF one) available with no fee?

Anyone got the link ?

Thanks

I just rang to see about the $35 membership..... Definitely a no go there.
The $475 discount includes the membership waiver ($385) so the cost is $420 for a single year membership.

I have started using this card for fuel an groceries at places where there is no surcharge. ATO payments are a distant memory.

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Received card. Wrong card arrived, the "non" flyer version. Phone call to correct this resulted in delays and having to collect the new card from branch. By the time I had a correct and activated card, it was the last day of the card cycle. Immediately spent the qualifying amount on a planned purchase. Card rolled the next day, instant expenditure points but no bonus points. Have phoned a couple of times but they are holding fast to the "60 days after qualifying" bit. We are at day 52 now so we'll see. Sadly I am also T-50 days on a QF9 trip and was going to use these points to upgrade, have probably missed the boat on that now.

Scriber how did you go?

I just applied for this card as I'm eligible and even w/ the fee it seems to be the best offer right now. No instant approval but manual review... this is normal as I'm a director of five different companies (credit approvals can get complicated but fingers crossed).

75K points credited today, the 3rd statement.

Just following up on my own post. Applied at midnight, approved 7am next morning with 18k credit limit, but the Veda notification notes ANZ recorded 50k on my file!

Should probably advise Veda of the incorrect amount, but maybe I'll just ask ANZ for a lower credit limit.

AFAIK, any mistakes from a credit provider needs to be corrected by that credit provider, not Veda.

There doesn't appear to be an expiry date on the offer? And from what I see there are no low rate balance transfers available?

Essentially 75,000 QFF points for $425. Enough points for a return award in economy to BKK via HKG and ~AUD350 in fuel surcharges.

Hi @grounded, still waiting on points to arrive, sadly. The new story is that points will arrive in the 30 days following the end of the first 3 monthly cycles, provided minimum spend has occurred. The date of said expenditure or which of the first 3 months it occurred in is irrelevant, allegedly. Seems contrary to the experiences of many here. They've now "bought" themselves until the 26/8, making the points not especially useful to me for my September trip.

Ahh, the beauty of "black box" credit decisioning. ANZ will attest that you did in fact apply for a credit decision on a $50k limit. By (presumably) not entering a customer chosen maximum limit, the computer will apply for the maximum limit possible on the card, or a lesser amount as the algorithms deem you worthy of. In their eyes, you "applied" for $50k and were approved for the lesser amount of $18k. VEDA doesn't differentiate, nor will the bank provide the approval data to VEDA.

Wow... that kind of makes makes sense, I didn't enter a limit... Is that a lesson right there? - when applying for a card you should specify a credit limit that's the lowest allowed on that product (I think ANZ FF Black is 15k?)... wonder if I can do anything about it now
