ANZ makes it harder to access sign-up bonus points

Anyone know when the terms changed?

“You are not eligible for this offer if you currently hold or have held an ANZ Frequent Flyer or ANZ Rewards credit card in the last 24 months.”

Just in case anyone else hasn’t posted about the specific date of change - just called ANZ re this - they confirmed it was changed to 24 months on 2nd May 2025. Any cards with a letter of offer before this date will still be in the 12 month rule. Hope this helps.

Hi guys, did anyone who apply and got approved in April receive the welcome bonus points already?

My partner got approved on 10 April, hit the minimum spend within the first month but did not receive the bonus points. Not sure how long ANZ typically deposits the bps. Reading the posts above I'm a bit worried we might be in the same situation too.

Hi. I got my card in March/April and got them quite quickly post min spend. My husband got his card 17th April - met min spend last statement period and is still waiting. You ask them and they say “up to 3 months” for bonus points to be deposited. They changed their period to 24 months post last ANZ card to be eligible for bonus points - but the did this on 2nd of May (I’ve had this confirmed with them both by phone and messages) - so any card in April will still be under 12 month rule. I think we just have to wait it out - but we will get them.

Im in the same position. Approved on 1st of May, have met minimum spend, no bonus points yet... will wait until 3 months.. I have screenshot of the chat with ANZ saying I will get the bonus points...
