Anyone keen to contribute? I will video blog MY EXPERIENCES-Freq flyer CREDIT CARDS

I love credit cards that have great rewards programs attached. I have managed to fly business class from Australia to Europe every year without fail. Not at all a frequent flyer, but have been flying Singapore Airlines (second ranked this year

). I Just love the rewards system. Especially my amex. I was wondering if any of you passionate as me to help me write articles about it! Especially if its your own experiences? I will be video blogging it of course! Please let me know.

I am about to be documenting my journey in late July just purely on my experiences with my Plat. Original Amex (got my 75,000 bonus) points which is worth one way business class to Europe with Singapore airlines.

Would love to hear your own experiences regarding your credit card usage!

american express, amex, platinum charge card, singapore airlines, Malaysian airlines citibank offer, altitude points, some of these I have experiences with. Let's hear yours!

Regards,

Susan

Have a read of my blog Frequent Flyer Fiend and the Game as it is a 7 month journey where mistakes as well as successes are noted.I am no travel guru.....all I wanted to get was the lowest net fare costs as we travel the world sometimes as a twosomeand sometimes as a group of five.I have been offered the opportunity to adopt several members in AFF so you may be able to increase your family!

The other thing Susan is many members including myself want to be out of the limelight and just want to be helpful in return for the help we received when we had a travel question. That help expanded my thinking about what is possible.I loved the video clip of an American who had wracked up 32 million points/miles and then George Clooney inspired others with his movie.Getting filmed is not for me and when I have been contacted by the press I avoid answering.

I generate many millions of points a year by c/c. I find the NAB, WBC, ANZ card have unlimited points and teh best cards at a $1 for 1.5 points conversion.
NO SC's though which sucks

SC's or otherwise status can still be earned.

Do a search for JASA if you have Qantas FF points and other than that, points can be directly redeemed for $ value status earning travel on just about any airline. e.g. For Amex MR, 1,000,000 points can be used to purchase $10,000 worth of flights/travel.

Thanks fo rthe reply, not sure I understand the bit about buying SC? I do understand the JASA protocol though

If you understand JASA you're half way there. You don't buy SC's though. Instead of redeeming your points for classic awards, you fly those flights as JASA's.

If you have plenty of Amex MR points, you can redeem them though AMEX travel for flights on Qantas.

These flights earn as if they were paid for in cash. This is like booking with the Amex Travel agency.

e.g. You can book an economy trip in September on Qantas MEL-LAX-MEL for $1,623.82 or 162,383 MR points (or a combination). This books into O class and earns QFF points/SC's as for discount economy.

Now this redemption rate is generally not as good a redemption rate as classic awards may be; however if you "generate many millions of points a year by c/c" then this can be an option.

I prefer the QF 747 FASA at 159k points each way to earn SCs......when I see Themis hit the redeem button to get to LAX out of OZ.

Amex MR points, you can redeem them though AMEX travel for flights on Qantas.

What do you mean by Amex MR points . Mine generate via the bank issued Amex

AMEX MR = American Express Membership Rewards. This the the Amex rewards program and it comes with a (real) Amex issued card not a bank Amex card.
