I heard it was due around 5pm but running late. What flight number is it?

SQ380. SMH reports a planned harbour flyover at 4.45PM (weather permitting).

Public Viewing Information:

The best view of Singapore Airline’s SQ380 will be during a harbour flyover before it lands at Sydney Airport on Thursday 25 October at 5.25pm. The harbour flyover will occur at approximately 4.45 – 5.15pm and is weather dependent.

It is not recommended that people travel to Sydney Airport for the landing.

The aircraft departs Sydney Airport the following day, Friday 26 October at approximately 4.00pm

Yes, my office is only about 20 mins from the airport and it has been grey and drizzly here all day. Nonetheless it's quite calm so the fly-by might still be on. I'm tempted to go in for a look.

Just back from the airport.

Devastating time for those at the 'Beach' up along the fence.

A B747 cargo plane taxied in front of us just as the big fella was coming in.

And thanks to the ATLAS B747 - I couldn't get my timing right so this was the best I ended up with.

They sent a QF B747 Longreach on it's way for reference before SQ380 landed.

I just drove past it at the gate. The traffic is backed up east-bound out of the M5 with everyone slowing down to look!

For any punters in SYD hoping to catch her she's currently parked at General Aviation (Corp Jets area) near Runway 25.

Departure is 4:30pm tomorrow I believe.

Might try and pop down again at lunch for some daytime shots.

My brother Ian led a group of about 50 AFF/FT's on this flight and probably will post on sq380.net. I believe they had a good time last night at the follow-up hotel meet.
