Has anyone flown Pegasus? Looking at flights from TLV to IST....Pegasus is about $250 per person in Y....Turkish is about $450 per person in Y. Reviews on Pegasus on Trip Advisor are horrible...thoughts for this 2 hr flight?

I flew them domestically from Istanbul to Izmir then returning to Sabiha Gokcen. They are a decent lcc. Outbound was about 20 minutes late, return was over an hour late and no free food except coffee, tea, water iirc. I didn't bother for the 1 hour flight. Staff were friendly, seats were ok, not too cramped. For short flights, they are fine.

Have flown them twice, once Tirana to SAW (2018) and the other time from Nevsehir to SAW (2013). They were fine and on a par with other LCCs. Luggage arrived without any delays and flights were both OK.

Ok I think I have decided. :)
Will probably go with Pegasus....checked price again...it was closer to $200 (with seat selection and checked luggage) per pax from TLV to SAW and Turkish is high $400s per pax....so will save over $500 for 2 pax!! Pegasus goes from T3 at TLV and I think we can access Dan lounge with Lounge Key / Priority Pass. Any thing we should know about T3 at TLV? Qs, security etc? Pegasus lands at Saw, not Ist and a taxi / Uber from Saw apparently costs about A$45 and takes an hour to downtown Istanbul

May this year…

They were fine for the 1 hour flight AYT-ECN.
On time. 1 bag per person included in the fare ISTR. Golf clubs cost about AUD30 extra and I couldn’t find a way to actually pay for them online beforehand so was done at the ticketing window when checking in. No problems.

I’m a TK *G and still chose Pegasus due to the savings for the family Scarlett on the short flight.

Like most LCCs I suspect, 95% of the time it’ll be all okay and get you where you need to be. The other 5% are probably a horror show for one reason or another…

I think there are buses that run from SAW into the city as well if that’s your thing. When in Istanbul around the same time as my pic above I do remember reading about the train being built out to the airports. IST still a while away but maybe the connection to SAW was closer to completion?

The Havaist bus is around 45 TL iirc, takes roughly the same time as a taxi to Taksim as everyone gets stuck in the same traffic. Then you can get a taxi to your hotel. Uber was a bit dodgy, I tried it once and they cancelled on me and tried to charge me but I complained and got it reversed. Taxis have meters on the rearview mirrors but can also be in short supply at rush hours.

We travelled Pegasus to Trabzon years ago, much better than Vueling (never do again). Took a bus to SAW which was a fair way out of Istanbul central. Rather convoluted getting there and would be better if there was a train.

Bit late, but I flew Pegasus domestically a few years ago. I recall it as being completely uneventful. Thos is what I wrote in my TR:

The trip is no problems. I'm in 2C with adequate legroom and they serve a snack and a coke or juice & water for the 1hr 15min flight.

I couldn't help thinking that their logo 'Fly pgs' reads like "Flying pigs".

Well on board my first Pegasus flight TLV to SAW...seated in 1C and flight departure seems to be (almost) on time so no complaints so far...

Edit : arrived SAW in one piece and 5 mins early :) ...and bag came out within 10 mins!

Dodged a huge bullet as Departures from TLV were suspended today (Monday)!
Transport: Israel’s main airport, Ben Gurion Tel Aviv, announced an immediate halt to all take-offs on Monday. They resumed a few hours later.
