I really loved the bit in the Australian this morning patting itself on the back for Newspoll getting the numbers right and saying the only poll that didn't get the swing against the ALP was the galaxy poll published in Fairfax.

So I'm not too sure how the No news journos figured out that Galaxy was the most incorrect in forecasting the ALP vote!

I think most of the polls overestimated the Green (defacto ALP) Vote.

Sadly I think the current incumbents (and their predecessors) feel the same way

Again - sadly we do - we also have a $2bn desal plant, a bankrupt cross city tunnel, a Tunnel that has increased my train ride time to work by 5-10 mins at a multi billion $ cost and tower blocks built in every suburb possible... oh and a completely ineffectual opposition

Not the first time either. One day people will realise that what happens in Federal elections does not translate to what will happen in State elections.

And John Brumby has just conceded to the Liberals. Wonder how many department heads are planning to move on to other organisations?
