I'm glad I happened to be online when Mal first posted the Qantas deal but the seats are still available at less then $6k for my dates so hopefully wouldn't have missed it in any event. Still chuffed and really looking forward to the trip now.

Yes the current 2 for one deal is quite useful.

However, in more normal situations an economy ticket to SIN or BKK with an onward biz (or WT+) ticket may both worth investigating. Helps if you have access to a friendly TA in one or both of those locations.

Just picked up a "J" SYD-LHR return in May....$1808.00 including taxes with Virgin Atlantic. How long before QF will get their act into gear and start matching these prices. I can see them loosing a lot of seats as currently their cheapest "J" on that route is about $2400.00! I would have preferred QF, but no way am I paying an additional $600.00 for the privilage!

Dude are you sure that is in business class? That sounds like economy pricing...
