I have been having this problem for some time.
Whenposting replies, at a certain point my typing stops being registered on the line I am editing.
Any further characters will appear on a line above the one I am editing.
There seems to be no way to fix this - I just have to cancel and start again.

Only happens when I'm using a Windows 10 laptop or Windows 7 desktop.
Doesn't happen on ipad or Android phone

Same here. Happens if you use the backspace. Go to the start of the line and hit delete, moving it up a row. Fixes the issue

I get this too.
What browsers are people running; Firefox with noScript?

I think it's a browser issue but am not certain. I'm seeing it more now that I cant use the app on the iPhone.

I am able to replicate this problem when using Firefox. I believe an extra line is being added when replying to a quote, i.e. after I start typing a second blank line is added between the bottom of the quote and the text I am writing.

I find that pressing backspace once before I start typing my reply stops this from happening.

Trying that now, let's see if it works.
So far so good, excuse the nonsense I'm just typing to test this out.
It does seem to be a workaround, for this post anyway.

Got the same problem here and using FF with no sans add on's.

So it's a Firefox bug. Should probably be reported to them. Anyone keen?

I also get it with another forum using FF on mobile. Annoying yes. I'm sure it's already been reported, or at least hope it has.

Even if it only appears in Firefox that doesn't necessarily mean it's a Firefox bug.
I'm content using the workaround for now.

Happens on my Samsung Galaxy S3 quite a lot.

The other difficult one is cut and paste. Doesn't matter where I position it wants to paste to beginning of reply.

Same issue here with Firefox using normal settings. Almost always happens when typing a reply after the quote tags.

Are folks still having this issue?

Firefox with standard settings, only happens when quoting a reply.

Still an issue for me with FF and also only when quoting a reply.
