Yesterday QF64 was late into Sydney with the result we missed our connection to MCY. These were award J seats and on different bookings but linked.
No availability on a flight to BNE yesterday evening or on this mornings QF flight to MCY so we were rebooked on the JQ flight this morning to MCY.
Is it worthwhile to ask Qantas for a refund of the difference in points between the Y seat on JQ and the J seat we had on QF. Or am I wasting my time?
Thanks for any advice.
Just to add, that even though I realised that the flights were on different bookings and therefore Qantas had no obligation to help us, their agent as we exited the aircraft went over and beyond to help us. We did however have to organise and pay for a night in a hotel near the airport and taxi fares. A lesson learned.
