I like to feel comfy when I travel and in QC or the QFi Lounge most probably would not ever be wearing a suit unless I was on the way to a funeral.
Depending on the projected temperature it might on some days end up being a pair of shorts, casual shoes and a T-Shirt.
I personally would not travel on public transport in flip flops or sandals. I like to know that if I misstep my toes/feet are not going to be injured/cut on what are obviously non-sanitary surfaces and that if perchance I need to use stairs or walk on slippery surfaces I am less likely to come a cropper.
I consider myself pretty broad minded and accept & largely embrace the range of diversity in our society; however I do support some culling of what some passengers might consider being comfortable attire and some form of dress code outlined by establishments that is flexible enough for staff to be able to act to limit attires clearly not appropriate to the intended environment/image they are trying to create.
