Brisbane does look to be a bit wet Wellington is trying hard to be wet and windy.

Thanks Jeff for the trip up the mountain and then dropped at the airport.

Graham had the day off and were scanned into the lounge by a younger guy who said that there is a change in the lounge contract coming up, he was staying with Qantas but was going to look after check in and then likely be at the gate.

Thanks Jessica and Kate for arranging another fun weekend.

Time to head home and prepare for another journey.

My current logged air travel is 2,998,600 miles. This flight is 1,611 miles WLG to MEL.

A milestone I'd never considered.

Well, QF164 has been officially delayed
Announcement just now in the Lounge that the aforementioned in-app notification was a technical glitch with QF’s IT systems and QF164 is expected to depart on schedule.

Who’d have imagined Qantas ever having an IT issue? 😜

Going by Ian's proactive service, Greame has taught them well.

I didn’t pack a pen lucky that The Qantas flight to Brisbane is set up for the online declaration.

Good that the weather is good at top of climb hopefully it was smooth to height

And now an updated announcement that due to the erroneous delay notification, the crew arrival time was also pushed back, meaning crew will not be arriving until 3:40pm (i.e. 25 mins behind schedule). So despite the aircraft arriving on time and being “available” for an on-time departure, the original erroneous delay notification has now become its own self-fulfilling prophecy 🤣
