Well the Mercure is very...basic. not even a box of tissues in the room. And definitely no aircon

Bed from abt 1am due to elevator motors being behind the bedhead in pic 1! ( Although here I heard the screaming youth of Wellington most of the rest of the night

But walls were still paper thin and the window was cracked!

My room at Mercure Central is fine. It is an apartment with kitchen, lounge and small desk/dining and the same bedroom as @RooFlyer. Room heaters overnight worked too well. Away from the lifts and minimal noise from the street below. Mid-level floor. Bathroom is small but the water is strong and hot. No tissues but I always carry my own. Bed was a little harder then at home but, it is a hotel. It looks like I had a lucky draw with the room location.

I guess it’s time for burnch and to head to Woolies with the coins my Mum gave me …

Our bed was fine, maybe getting to bed at 1am also helped.

Also not doing cable car lunch suggestion might do that tomorrow before a 4:20pm flight home

Katie remember there was some changes of currency, I gave some of my old coins to Qantas they can take them to the right bank to deposit

Thinking tomorrow afternoon that Rooftop Bar — The Arborist Rooftop bar & Eatery might be a good place for people to meet. It is very close towhere most are staying. They are open from midday. They can do food but for people who are going to cabletop eatery this might be a good place to come after

Could even meet up there this afternoon for the early arriving folk. Let me know and I can meet you up there
