Yes, AirNZ have a weekend sale on for Wellington and Christchurch. Qantas are matching it.
Now booked same flights, staying Mecure Central City Friday and Saturday.

As the Mercure Central City seems to be firming as the popular accommodation I have also booked Friday 6th and Saturday 7th.
