We understand that some people prefer the long weekend however it was not suitable for either of us.

Just a thought at this stage. We did the Christchurch Tram Restaurant in 2020, the night before the AFF dinner. It was excellent. We took the drinks package as well as the meal and was so impressed went out the next day to buy some of the wines. A bit small but the food was excellent. With enough people and advance notice tables grouped together should be possible. Advance commitment and payment might be an issue for some. It is always booked out well in advance.

Alternatively anyone in CHC on the 18th should consider it. We will be.

Flights booked. I am on high right now, the absolute joy of securing overseas J award bookings. Availability out of Brisbane is excellent.
I may live to regret this but went via Sydney so I could get my salt and pepper squid. I will be able to guest someone into the F lounge on the 7.25pm QF flight on the 18th March if they need it.
So happy:)

I don't dare book anything right now in case I jinx you. I'm on my fifth cancelled cruise so far, plus three cancelled land trips.

Well bugger me - the 19th! In a moment of madness whilst celebrating The Bubble & return of EK412 in November(now January) I made a booking for the Annual NZ Dinner on 12 March…at least I guessed CHC correctly. Colour me - I'm not sure if I’ll hang around for a week.

I am more likely tp jinx the trip. We are on a third attempt to get to NZ although are restricted to school holidays and choosing to fly EK in one or both directions. This trip is number 4, the girls have their EK flights sorted, accomodation is sorted and I am now been asked if I could sort out the ADL lounge situation, they like that "other" lounge. MissM is wanting to know if she can have the Pav in the F lounge at breakfast, pre covid the lounge staff made this possible for her in SYD and MEL when on morning flights to Asia, not sure if it was due to her being a minor and knowing it was on a menu or my status.

Using words that have been uttered before 'what could possible go wrong'.
