I never knew before this week that you could request a J reward seat and wait for the yield management gods to approve or reject your request.

Currently playing the waiting game! Trying to get home on a direct QF morning flight in J (currently booked on a VA service in J via SYD). When oh when will the approval come through

Did you do it online or on the phone? In my experience over the phone gives you an answer there and then...? I haven't even looked into doing it online anyway...

It was over the phone. There was no J classic seats left. But there are plenty (7+) paid seats so they put me on a wait list
